NYFW Recap
Hey babes,
Here’s a round up of all things New York Fashion Week! It was such a fun time and we got to go to some fun shows and events. It definitely wasn’t the same as 2019 due to covid, but it was still REALLY fun to be back in the city running around with my girlfriends.
Travel Details:
We flew Jet Blue (flight was about $360/person)
We took the red eye from San Diego
It was a good flight, the only downside is that they upcharge for overhead bin space, extra leg room.
Overweight bags: $150 per direction
Hotel: Courtyard by Marriott New York Manhattan / Midtown East (room was about $370/ person for 4 nights)
This is our second time staying at this hotel and we love it
Good size rooms (we did 2 queens for 4 people); fit all of our suitcases - some places in NYC are shoe boxes so be aware!
Right next to a subway station which makes it convenient
Close to bagels, coffee, pizza
Had early + late check in/out which was very helpful
Outfit Details:
Outfits this year we definitely not as grand as previous years, but we have to remember, people are just emerging post covid and I feel like it was all about comfortable style with a pop. It definitely about being comfortable as it was 75 -80 degrees & humid making it too warm to layer.

Dining / Food:
For this trip, we definitely splurged a little. For breakfast we typically had bagels + coffee and we only had lunch a few times because we were so busy, so we decided to go big for dinners. We went to restaurants that came highly recommended and that were special to NY (places we can’t get on the west coast).
We tried to budget for $25/breakfast & lunch and $50/dinner per day

SERRA in Eataly $$$ - SO yummy + aesthetic, flatiron location
Beatnic (formerly known as By Chloe) - new ownerhsip, same food
Dinner - we made all of our reservations ahead of time either on opentable or the restaurant’s website
Serafina $$$ - delicious Italian, more affordable, meatpacking location
Carbone $$$$ - little on the pricey side, WORTH IT, greenwich village
Catch $$ - one of our fav restaurants, I’d say $$$, meatpacking location
NYC pizza $ - you can’t beat cheap pizza by the slice and it’s a must while visiting NYC
Shows & Events:
There definitely weren’t as many shows or events this year, but we still had a blast and the trip was totally worth it! This schedule kept us pretty busy and we didn’t want to be too booked so it worked out well.

Overall, we had such an amazing time! We did just the right amount of things and I’m already excited for next year. I definitely love being in NYC and can’t wait to be back! Hopefully this recap/guide was helpful and even if you don’t go during fashion week, it’s still so fun to do all these things!
